Name: Erik Role: Group Business Controller Department: Finance Describe your role at PriceRunner! – In my role as Business Controller, I’m a part of the finance team. Typically, the work is very varied from day to day and at I high speed which I really enjoy. On an overall level, however, I assist the company with various financial analysis and reports. We support the entire PriceRunner Group, which includes companies in Denmark, England and Sweden.
How come you joined PriceRunner? – I applied for the job because of the business model which both benefits the consumer and companies offering products. During the interview process, I came in contact with different persons which were inspiring and also thrilled over working at PriceRunner.
The combination of those two made choice simple when I got the chance to join the team. What makes you proud to work at PriceRunner? – First of all, I’m proud of the product we deliver. We guide the consumer through an incredible number of products and help them find what they are looking for.
Secondly, I’m really enjoying the culture and people behind PriceRunner which are all genuinely open and helpful.
One of our core values at PriceRunner is “Act Bold”, what does that mean to you? – To always try to improve and find a better solution than the one currently used. Also, to always speak up, even when it is not the most comfortable thing to do.
“Stay Humble” is also one of our core values what does that mean to you? – For me to "stay humble" is about to treat your colleagues and other people around you well. To be open-minded and listen to everyone’s solution or if someone just need to talk. In addition to the above, to stay humble in our goal of becoming the most loved shopping comparison service ever.
How would you describe your team? – I would describe my team as helpful, open and curious about tasks and different solutions to a problem. We always put the team first in every situation and most importantly, we always laugh at work.
What makes your work fun? – One of the most fun parts is that you are involved in many different parts of the company and support different teams and groups with information and reports. Therefore, you receive a lot of knowledge regarding the business. In addition to the above, a week never is the same as the one before.
